As I stated in my previous post, I had two negatives scanned to see what images were on them. The “Car-camping" image was one negative, while this abandoned structure was the second one. I don’t know what this building once was, but even when this photo was taken it was a ruin of its once self. An amazing, looking ruin.
Also, (I hadn’t noticed this until I was putting the post together) there is a lady, standing in the shadows, inside the ruin. She is just to the left. I wonder who she was?
I’ve decide that this project needs it’s own site.
So, welcome to “The Old Medium”
I was given a box, filled with developed medium format film. The friend that gave it to me told me that she got it from her parent’s place but it doesn’t belong to her parents. It was just a box that has been in the house since before her parents moved into their home. So, this is some really old film.
I didn’t realized how old until I started glancing through the negatives. I decided to have a couple of the negatives scanned, and I’m amazed by the images. I’m guessing early 1900’s, perhaps? Anyway, I think this is going to become a little side project for me. Slowly getting these images scanned and learning about a past I have no connection to, except that both me and this unknown photographer both enjoyed documenting the world around us on film.
